Article I

Name and Object

Section 1 - Name

This organization shall be known as the Wildwood Baptist Church of Griffin Inc. is

now incorporated. This limits the liability of a law suit to the church. According to an

e-mail from the Executive Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention, we will be

grated coverage for the 501(c)C3) under SMC umbrella.  Amended December 2013 

Section 2 - Church Affiliation

Flint River Baptist Association

Georgia Baptist Convention

Southern Baptist Convention

The church shall contribute at least 10% or more regularly and faithfully, and to

associational missions. Amended in the 2/3/2008 monthly church conference

Section 3 - Objectives

To be a dynamic spiritual church empowered by the Holy Spirit to share Christ with

as many people as possible in our church community, and throughout the world.

To be a worshipping fellowship, experiencing an awareness of God, recognizing His

person, and responding in obedience to His leadership.

To experience an increasingly meaningful fellowship with God and fellow believers.

To help people experience a growing knowledge of God and man.

To be a church that ministers unselfishly to persons in the community and world in

Jesus name.

To be a church whose purpose is to be Christ like in our daily living by emphasizing

total commitment of life, personality, and possessions in the leadership of Christ.

Wildwood Baptist Church of Griffin is committed to loving, caring and treating all people

with grace and respect.  We continue to support and affirm biblical marriage as a

holy union between a man and a woman.

Section 4 - Statement of Faith

The church subscribes to the doctrinal statement of the "Baptist Faith and Message"

as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 1963. The Holy Bible is the inspired

Word of God and is the basis for any statement of faith. We band ourselves together

as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ, personally committed to sharing  

the good news of salvation to lost mankind. The ordinances of the church are baptism

and The Lord's Supper.
