Article IV

Discipline

Section 1 - Dismissal of Members

It shall be the basic purpose of the Wildwood Baptist Church to emphasize to its

members that every reasonable measure will be taken to assist any troubled

member. The pastor, other members of the church staff, and deacons are available

for counsel and guidance. Redemption, rather than punishment should be the

guidelines, which govern the attitude of one member toward another.

"Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an

one in the spirit of meekness, considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted." Gal. 6:1

"Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between

thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.

But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one of two more that in the

mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church, let him be unto

thee as an heathen man and publican." Matt. 18: 15-17
